| When I retired and was able to spend longer periods
of time in Kakorevma, Aepia in the Peloponese, I searched for an English
speaking church to which I could attend. I have been unable to find
one within a 30 km radius of where I live. I began to attend the local
Greek Orthodox churches, but due to my lack of understanding of the
language, my worship seemed incomplete and I felt spiritually bereft.
I prayed to God that he would help me to resolve this problem and
enable me to serve him in this lovely country. Last year I met a
friend, Margaret, who like me had faith in our Lord and prayed regularly.
Towards the end of last year we began to pray together and now even
when I am not in Greece, we share prayers each Friday morning.
We have found great comfort and spiritual fulfilment through our
sharing of this time and have experienced first hand the power of
prayer.
Jesus said "And I tell you more: whenever two of you on earth
agree about anything you pray for, it will be done for you by my
Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name,
I am there with them." Matthew 18:19-20
